This weekend turned out to be a rather quiet weekend during which I spent a lot of time catching up on admin type things (including updating this website which was running almost a month behind schedule!) and it was also Margaret and my wedding anniversary today, so it was a day of breakfasts at beach front restaurants and just general indulgence. Late afternoon saw me starting to get some withdrawal symptoms from not being out and about in the bush, so Margaret and I jumped in the car and shot down to Melkbos to see if we could find any reptiles. As we arrived, the wind came up and the weather started closing in, so we didn't really spend too much time scratching around. The only thing of interest was a Giant Burrowing Scorpion. |
