After dropping my car off at a mechanic for the umpteenth time in the last couple of months, Sion Stanton and I headed off to Strandfontein Sewage Works for the morning. Birding was relatively quiet although a reasonable number of species were seen. Most surprising was that, although there was a large amount of suitable wader habitat, other than Black-winged Stilts and Pied Avocets, we only saw one Common Greenshank the entire morning. |
