Margaret and I headed off to Rooiels on the south eastern side of False Bay this morning. The intention was to try and catch up with Cape Rockjumper and Ground Woodpecker for my photographic yearlist. We were fairly successful in locating both species, but the Rockjumpers insisted on staying in the shade and the Woodpeckers never really came close enough for me although Margaret managed to get some crippling shots of them. We also had a very obliging pair of Cape Rock Thrushes that provided some great photographic opportunities. |
