09 july 2011 - cape pelagic trip |
Trevor was once again a guide on a ZEST for BIRDS pelagic trip today. We got caught out a little by the weather predictions today and there was quite a bit more wind than we had anticipated which meant a bumpy ride and quite a bit of spray. We were also unlucky not to locate a trawler today, so bird numbers were lower than usual although we did see most of the expected species with the highlight being a Southern Royal Albatross which unfortunately didn't really come close enough for any photos. |
